Ghanaian Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak Unfazed by Nigerian Counterpart’s Guinness World Record Attempt

Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak, remains undeterred despite a challenge to her Guinness World Record (GWR) attempt by a Nigerian counterpart.

Chef Beauty Obasuyi, based in Canada, has exceeded Chef Failatu’s 227-hour cooking marathon, originally slated for eight days but extended to 18 consecutive days, aiming for an impressive 432 hours.

In response to Beauty’s endeavor, Chef Failatu reaffirmed her resilience, stating, “Nobody can scare us.

I would reapply and go and give them some one million days,” during an interview on Showbiz 360 on TV3.

Failatu embarked on her cook-a-thon at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale from January 1, 2024, with the aim of surpassing the current 119-hour record held by Irish chef Alan Fisher, supported by her assistant, Chef Malik Eric.

She concluded her marathon at an astounding 227 hours, 00 minutes, and 02 seconds, determined to secure her place in culinary history.
