Ghana Captain Andre Ayew has assured fans that the Black Stars will get over their defeat and bounce back in their next games at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The Black Stars lost 3-2 to Portugal in their opener at Stadium 974 in Doha.

Ghana responded quickly to Ronaldo’s goal from the spot with an equaliser from Andre Ayew before A Seleção restored their lead with two more goals. Osman Bukari came from the bench to reduce the deficit and set up a nervy finish.

The result has met diverse opinions from fans who think it would have been better for the Black Stars to have at least won a point.

Black Stars would now have to battle for maximum points against South Korea and Uruguay to secure a place in the next round.

However, Andre Ayew believes that situations like this are normal for the Black Stars and that a solution will be found.

“We always come out of difficult situations. We need to stay calm, go home, relax and increase our performance. We need to try and score more and concede less,” he said.

Ghana’s next game is on Monday, November 28 against South Korea.
