Sista Afia Blames Lack of Northern Region Artists for Queen Solomon Concert’s Failure in Tamale
Sista Afia, the popular Ghanaian musician, has attributed the lack of artists from the Northern Region to the failure of her Queen Solomon Concert at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale. She has accused some individuals of intentionally sabotaging her efforts to hold a successful show in the Northern hemisphere.
The concert featured top musicians like Medikal, Kwame Yogot, Mr Drew, Sefa, Lasmid, Ataaka, Wiz Child, Fadlan, LilWin, among others. However, the turnout was low, and technical support was not up to the mark.
According to Sista Afia, the concert was sabotaged because she did not have Fancy or any other Northern Region artist on the bill. She claimed that they kept removing the plugs, and the lights went off even before she stepped on stage.
Sista Afia had set her sights on conquering the Northern sector after successful shows in Accra, Kumasi, and Cape Coast. She stated that they went through all the necessary processes to ensure a successful concert but did not receive the expected returns.
Regarding involving the music giants of the North, Sista Afia mentioned that she contacted Macassio and Fancy Gadam, but they did not show up for her. She further added that they did everything they were supposed to do, such as promotions and meeting with the Chiefs, but still, the concert failed to meet expectations.
“We contacted Fancy, and I even bargained with him regarding the amount he demanded. However, the minute I was about to pay, he stopped responding to my texts,” Sista Afia stated.
