Christian Atsu Found Alive After Earthquake in Turkey
Former Premier League player, Christian Atsu, has been rescued after being trapped in rubble from the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Turkey.
The 31-year-old, who played for Chelsea and Newcastle, was transported to the hospital with injuries to his right foot and breathing difficulties.
Atsu’s current club, Hatayspor, located in Hatay, was among the areas hardest hit by the earthquake.
Along with Atsu, the club’s sporting director and an interpreter were also reportedly trapped.
