Hearts of Oak Midfielder Glid Otanga Confident Ahead of 2023/24 Ghana Premier League Opener Against Real Tamale United
Hearts of Oak midfielder, Glid Otanga, is expressing confidence in his team’s readiness to face Real Tamale United (RTU) in the inaugural match of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
The upcoming season is set to kick off this weekend, with Hearts of Oak scheduled to play RTU at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
Following their pre-season preparations, which concluded with a convincing 2-0 victory over Nations FC at the Pobiman Complex last Sunday.
Otanga has affirmed his team’s preparedness to take on RTU in the upcoming Friday match.
Having started the game but being substituted in the second half, Otanga witnessed Nurudeen Aziz scoring the vital goal for the Phobians.
Otanga declared, “We are fully prepared for the season. We’ve dedicated over a month to our preparations, and I believe we are ready to face the challenge posed by Real Tamale United in the season opener.”
The Phobians aim to redeem themselves after a challenging previous season, which saw them undergo coaching changes and ultimately finish 12th in the Ghana Premier League.
