Ghana Football Association (GFA) Appoints Chris Hughton as New Black Stars Coach

The Black Stars of Ghana have a new head coach, Chris Hughton, appointed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

This move comes after the resignation of Otto Addo as head coach following Ghana’s exit from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The GFA released a statement, stating that the appointment of Hughton resulted from extensive discussions between the two parties.

 

And was made in alignment with the GFA’s vision to maintain and further the progress made in building a strong squad, as demonstrated under the leadership of Otto Addo during the World Cup in Qatar.

Hughton has served as the technical advisor for the Black Stars for the past year.

The GFA has also decided to retain assistant coaches George Boateng and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, both of whom were part of the World Cup technical team.

The terms and duration of Hughton’s contract will be disclosed by the GFA at a later date.
